Scope & Content Printed postcard announcing the Annual Temperance Rally in Assembly Hall, August 22-23, 1911, Harrisonburg, VA. Front has lithograph of a boy and girl with an American flag and reads, "THE SALOON OR THE BOYS AND GIRLS THE REAL ISSUE." Postcard is addressed to Miss Dorcas Whitmer of Hinton, VA. Green one cent stamp with a profile of Benjamin Franklin. Reverse of postcard gives event details. Stamped with C.D. Wenger's signature. To the left is a photograph of Capt. R.P. Hobson. Upper edge of postcard reads, "Capt. Hobson has the finest analysis of the liquor problem I have ever heard.- DR. FLORY, Pres. B'water College."
