A key, a poem, comments, and facts on Rockingham County are at the bottom edge. There is also a list of the popular of towns in Rockingham County as of 1930 and a copy of Tenth Legion (Rockingham County, Va.) census data for 1900, 1910, 1920 and 1930.
Strickler's additions to the map in ink at the bottom edge. They include the information that an "Ancestor of President Hoover once lived at John Sevier's's right shoulder," identification of potential sources of water power on the map, and a note on the gift of this copy of the map from its creator to Mrs. Paul H. Bowman, July 25, 1934.
The map is a planograph print by Indianapolis Blue Print and Supply Co. (Indianapolis, In.)
