Reuel B. Pritchett's father purchased the book from a traveling religious book salesman, inscribed it, and gave it to five-year-old Reuel. Dedication page is signed with the name of Rebecca A. Pritchett, Reuel's mother and dated, January 1, 1890. Flyleaf signed with her name and James A. Pritchett. Inscribed that the book was bought from John Shefly in Johnson City, Tennessee. Notes inside from Lizzie Ellis of Johnson City, TN.
