Description Plum navy blue silk gown lined in sky blue silk brocade. Heavily embroidered, mostly satin stitch, in variated shades of blue and white with floral and Chinese bat motifs. Bottom of gown is fully embroidered for 5-11 inches with pattern of stripes and waves, creating ocean motif accecented by reoccuring floral pattern. Gown is "T" shaped, flaring from waist to rounded finished edge. Side slits begin 17.625 inches from hemline. Center fronts meet flush, closed with 4 loop-and-button closures to waist. Open from waist down. Sleeves: wide rectangles, cut in one with rest of gown, length gained from added panels, folded back to reveal 5 inch cuffs of sky blue silk facing, plain weave. Note by owner, Senger, sewn into gown at back of neck.
