Description Off-white sheer dotted swiss cotton bodice. High-neck with standing collar displaying three pleats of the dotted swiss cotton and faced in the same fabric. Bodice body fitted and lined in plain white muslin, raw seam allowance exposed to the inside. Constructed of seven pieces with princess seamed back, the fronts consisting of two darts each. Outer bodice consists of two fronts and a back panel. Slight gathers of sheer fabric fall from neck and shoulders to waist where consolidated by a line of stitching on either side of the center front closure, consisting of fifteen hooks and eyes. Beneath the securing line of decorative stitching, the fitted lining is quick to end while the fashion fabric gathers fall freely for several inches creating a fullness at the base of the bodice front. This is repeated on the back with gathers falling to the waist, consolidated by one short row of stitching at center back before falling to create a fullness at the base of center back. The sleeves are unlined and of the dotted swiss cotton, well-fitted with ease gathers at the armscye. Bottom of sleeves finished with an inch-wide hem, bodice finished with half-inch hem, and lining finished separately with a small, rolled hem.
