Description Yellow, mauve, and coral imitation 18th cent. costume dress.
Bodice: yellow, fitted to slight point at center front. Entire neckline trimmed in fold of tan crepe, triangle insert of ruffles of tan crepe from neckline front inverting to center front point (faux stomacher). Sleeves extend to mid-upper arm, lengthened by 5 inch double flounces of tan crepe. 3"x2" label is sewn inside at back of neck. 10 inch zipper under left arm.
Skirt: gathered to waist, topstitched. Skirt back is yellow to slightly front of side seams. Two 6 inch wide panels of mauve attached, one seamed to either side of yellow skirt to create skirt side fronts. 7/8 inch wide band of brown velvet ribbon sewn 1 inch above hemline on yellow and mauve skirt sections. Mauve panels embellished with pink, yellow, and green woven braid attached in loose zig-zag pattern down the length. Coral panel inserted between mauve panels to fill out skirt front. Coral panel falls 5 inches short of the hemline. A 5 inch band of pale pink cotton is attached to create the needed length, concealed by 4 rows of mauve ruffles.
