United States Civil War Confederate uniform component. Blue wool lined in white linen or cotton fabric. Single breasted. Original buttons replaced. Four leather square buttons at top. Round wooden button below the leather ones. The lower two buttons appear to be later replacements. Lower buttons lacking. Hemmed in white or tan thread with mending in gray thread. Mends include tear at collar, reniforced sleeves and repair to lining. No visible insignia or piping. Plain sleeves.
