Description Small framed black and white silk tapestry of Christ praying in Gethsemane. Top border reads in English, "TU CHIN SHENG SILK WEAVING FACTORY HANGCHOW CHEKIANG CHINA." "N.S.L.O." woven at bottom corner. The number 48 and Chinese characters woven in bottom border. Framed on brown fabric with decal of cross and crown. Collecter Nettie Senger states the silk was hand grown and processed and the loom used to make the tapestry was destroyed in the Japanese invasion of 1937.
