Description Chinese man's summer gown. Sheer purple fabric. Embroidered in white thread with dragon designs. Dragon's eyes are black and blue. Brown, white and black round collar embroidered in white with dragon. Black and white lower sleeves with blue cuffs embroidered with dragons. Cuffs lined in bright blue silk. In several wrapping pieces. Closes with gold metal round buttons. From earlier inventory note: It was probably made before 1910. The horse hoof-shaped sleeves indicate that the man who wore the gown was a gentleman who could afford to ride a horse.
