Description Canvas banner drawn and painted by Mrs. Nora Byron Flory in missionary work in Shou Yang and Ping Ting, Shanxi, China, 1917 to 1932. Part of set. This banner shows a Chinese mother sewing with her young daughter. They wear traditional clothing. The girl has hair in pigtails and wears a white ruffled collar. The child sits on a "kang" brick and mortar heated bed. The mother stands beside the kang. The caption given to this banner was, "Mother teaching daughter household skills."
