Description Tall stoneware jar. Cobalt and hooks cord design below collar. Glazed gray exterior. Unglazed brown interior and underside. Stamped with 1 and 1/2 gallon capacity mark and a larger rectangular stamp that is difficult to read. It likely reads, "S. Bell & Son Strasburg." Attributed to S. Bell and Son of Strasburg, Virginia. From earlier inventory note: c. late 19th century.
