Description Japanese kimono of navy silk with woven border design pattern of pink, red, and white flowers and grasses rising 19 inches from hemline and 15 inches from bottom of hanging sleeves. Small white circles of Japanese design- one on left chest, one on right chest, one on back of each sleeve, one at back of neck. Entire garment lined in scarlet silk. "T" shaped garment, open front with overlap towards the left side of body. No affixed closure. Robing neckline collar created by 2.5 inch wide navy silk extension band falling around the neck to waist on either side of open front, faced in scarlet silk of the lining, revealed when collar folded back. Sleeves: attached rectangular panels, open underarms, extra width underneath of sleeve hole sewn shut, creating hanging fabric panel (decorative). Small "Made in Japan" tage sewn at back of neck on facing.
