Description Cast brass and bronze figural clock. Likely French. Figure is an armored cavalier riding a horse. Scene is shown on a rock with flora below. The cavalier holds the horse's reins high in one hand while twisting back and shooting his charger with the other hand. He wears a helmet with a dragon on top. Spurs are pointed on both ends. Dagger in belt. The horse's right leg is raised. Horse wears elaborate tack. Dial of clock is behind glass. Clocks sits on a rectangular base. Said to have been a gift to William Howard Taft from the Prince of Wales.
