Extensive family genealogy in German on flyleaf of the family of George Ludwig Kesslering/ Georg Lutwich Kesslerinck, b. 1745. Contains laid in original German hand lettered document with decorated borders and fragment of document in German as well as bits of laid in ephemera in German and English. Translations and genealogical notes laid in. Contains Kesselring family history. George Ludwig Kesselring, b. 1745, was first married to Mari Margred Klein. They had three living sons. Mari died on the day her third son was born in 1772. Kesselring later married Catharina Ott, b. 1752. They had 15 children between 1774 and 1798. |

Blind tooled leather over board covers. Heavy metal corner bosses and clasp that may not be contemporary to the binding. Metal clasps shaped in images of kings. Lacking lower leather latch. Fancy hand painted front and end papers. |
