Description |
Inked printing block for what was likely the earliest printed literature to advertise The Spring Creek Normal School, which later became Bridgewater College (Bridgewater, Va.) This engraving plate printed the cover of the pamphlet. It reads: 1880 1881 The Spring Creek Normal School Spring Creek, Va. D. C. Flory, Principal. Spirit of the Valley Print, Harrisonburg, Va." Metal plate is mounted on a wooden block which is stamped "BRETHREN PUB." |
